The prompts I used to optimize my resume were: “Can you create a version of this resume targeted towards a role in a Human Resources department?” and “Can you create a version of the original resume that is targeted towards a job in event planning?”. I found that with the first revised version of my resume, there was a greater emphasis on the coordination and collaboration I have already been doing in my jobs. I found that this revision also put less emphasis on quantifying my role in any of my jobs listed, and used the term “multiple” much more often. However, with the second revision, I found that almost nothing changed in the description of my first job, which made sense as it is an event coordinator position. I feel like if I had used a more specific prompt for both of these revisions, my resume could have been tailored much more to either job. However, I feel like my preexisting resume already tailored towards these different fields, so it would have been interesting to see how it would have been revised for a career in a field like Accounting or IT.
